The Monroe Area Rebel Soccer Club and Monroe’s High School Soccer teams are primarily funded by donations and fundraising. Throughout the year, the club holds several fundraising events. Volunteers are the core of our organization. If you are interested in helping, visit our contact page and let us know how you can help.

Other volunteering opportunities:

Coaching

Many of our coaches started with little or no soccer background. MARS pays for our coaches to attend any necessary training. The most basic course lasts just three hours. We also have highly trained coaches from Madison work with our teams and coaches occasionally. Coaching requires patience, organization, and a positive attitude.

Team Manager

Team managers or coordinators often help with various administrative duties in support of the team’s coach. Sometimes they are asked to write articles for the newspaper about recent games, or act as a liaison between the team and the board for various club-wide activities.

Board Member

This is definitely a working board. Members attend general board meetings on a monthly basis and often take the lead on key projects like fundraisers, field coordination, camps, or managing our finances.

Field Maintenance

MARS is currently responsible for mowing the MTX field and striping at Moose and MTX. Striping either field will take about an hour ever couple of weeks.
